This Resort Was A Great Find and A Total Surprise
The gulf coast of Florida is known for having some of the finest beaches in the world. It has become a preferred vacation destination for millions of tourists to enjoy the beach life and see some of the most spectacular sunsets one will ever witness. One of these beach towns is just south of Clearwater Florida via Gulf Boulevard. In this charming town of Indian Rocks Beach, Harbourside at Marker 33 is a brand-new property offering well-appointed one and two-bedroom condo units. Each condo provides a living room, considerable balcony, and separate sleeping areas. Ideal for a family with children, extended families, or couples vacationing together, units offer a spacious and fully equipped kitchen with a sizable banquette-style dining area and includes an in-suite washer and dryer.
Several standard hotel rooms are also available and typically feature a pair of queen beds, specious bathroom, in-room mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.
The property features the fun-for-everyone Splash Harbour Water Park, a poolside bar, gift shop, indoor mini golf course, Jimmy Guana’s indoor/outdoor restaurant with live entertainment. Also, there are boat rentals and deep sea fishing trips that depart from the on-site marina, and if you opt to arrive by boat, there are public boat slips here as well.
Plus, Harbourside at Marker 33 offers exciting activities including painting classes, yoga, wine tastings, books for children, family board games and many engaging things to do. The quiet secluded beach is every bit as spectacular as Gulf Coast beach and often much less crowded. The facility operates on-site beach gear rentals and bike rentals too.
One of the stellar perks of this location is that it lends opportunity to experience the best of prime destinations on the Gulf of Mexico – Clearwater and St Pete which are 7 miles north and 10 miles south, respectively. For a nominal fee, ride the SunCoast Beach Trolley and purchase an affordable 1, 3 or 7-day pass to ride back and forth to these vacation hot-spots and all the quaint coastal towns in between!

Just this last week, I had a chance to stay at the Prestige Collection, Harbourside at Marker 33. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a retreat in luxurious surroundings near the beach.
The Prestige Collection (right now a collection of 1, with more to come shortly), Offers, studio, one bedroom and two bedroom accommodations right on the Gulf Intercostal Waterway. It is two blocks from the Indian Rocks beach and provides a great place to relax and have a great time in this beach community.
My wife and I ate at Jimmy’s restaurant and the service was excellent. Even better the music was spectacular. I am not sure who ways playing guitar and singing that night, but he gave great renditions of songs from the 60s to the 80s.
We then walked over to PJ’s for a drink at the bar and it was hoping. Lots of locals and lots of activities.
During the night I spilt some club soda on my shirt, actually sprayed it as I was opening up a bottle (shaken not stirred) and it was the only shirt I brought for a meeting the next day. The one-bedroom I was staying in had a washer and dryer (the studio does not), and I was able to wash and dry my shirt so it was fresh in the morning. This is a great feature to go along with a full kitchen dining room, living room, bed and bath of the one-bedroom.
The staff was very friendly and it was surprisingly quiet. There was a large family staying on the floor below us, swimming and partying, and besides the splashing in the pool area it was very quiet.
My wife and I have often stayed on the coast at various resorts, but this right now is our favorite. We had a great time and look forward to returning in October.
